Give your child a creative skill they can carry with them for life! Stitch & Revel’s Kids Crochet Summer Camp is designed for complete beginners, including kids who have never held a crochet hook before.

Over five days, campers will learn the basics of crochet step by step in a fun, supportive space. They’ll practice holding the hook and yarn, making chains, learning beginner stitches, and creating real handmade projects they’ll be proud to take home.

By the end of camp, campers will leave as confident beginners who can proudly say, “I can crochet!”

Projects We’ll Make

Campers will work through beginner-friendly projects at their own pace:

Chain Bow Bookmark
A fun first project to practice slip knots and chain stitches.

Crochet Bracelet with Button
A simple wearable project to practice single crochet, counting stitches, and finishing.

Pencil Pouch or Drawstring Mini Pouch
A useful final project for pencils, tiny treasures, fidgets, earbuds, art supplies, or backpack goodies.

Projects may vary slightly depending on each camper’s pace and comfort level.

Skills Covered

Campers will learn:

• Slip knot
• Chain stitch
• Single crochet
• Introduction to half double crochet
• Introduction to double crochet
• Counting stitches
• Turning rows
• Using stitch markers
• Seaming and weaving in ends

Learning Style

This is a hands-on, small-group camp where each child will receive support at their own pace.

Camp is taught by shop owner Sanjani, a Certified Crochet Instructor through the Craft Yarn Council. Her daughters who crochet will also assist as youth instructors, helping create a fun and welcoming environment for young makers.

Snacks

A nut-free snack, fruit, and water will be provided each day.

If your child has allergies, dietary restrictions, or strong snack preferences, please send them with their own snack and let us know at registration.

Important Notes

• This is a drop-off camp.
• No crochet experience is needed.
• All materials are provided.
• Space is limited for hands-on support.
• Full payment is due at registration.
• A minimum of 3 campers is required for camp to run.
• If fewer than 3 campers are registered, camp may be canceled and families will be notified at least 3 days before the start date.
  

Cancellation Policy

Camp tuition is non-refundable due to limited space and included materials.

Cancellations made at least 7 days before camp begins may be transferred to another available camp or class, space permitting. Cancellations made less than 7 days before camp begins cannot be refunded or transferred.
