Kids Crochet Class:

Tuesdays at 4:30pm-5:30pm 

Our Kids Crochet Class in Livermore is a weekly, hands-on class for young makers ages 8–15. Designed for beginners and returning crocheters, this supportive studio-style class helps kids learn crochet basics, build skills, gain confidence, and keep creating.

Led by Ms. Molly, a Montessori kindergarten teacher, each session meets kids at their level with guided instruction, creative projects, and visible progress every week.

Sign up for as many sessions as your Mini Maker needs. Every week brings fresh inspiration and progress!

Arrive 5 minutes early • Prompt pick-up at end • Small group attention

Materials:

Materials are not included. Kids can bring a 5mm crochet hook and worsted-weight (category 4) yarn from home, or purchase supplies at the shop during their first session, and enjoy 10% off all class materials!

What to Expect

-Mini-lesson (10-15 mins) and hands on guided making (40-45mins)

-Mixed-level friendly; beginners, returners, and project based kids welcome

-We meet each child at their level. Visible progress every session

-Led by Ms. Molly, a Montessori kindergarten techer

Skills & Project Ideas: 

-Beginner basics: slip knot, chain, single crochet

-Next steps: half double crochet stitch, double crochet stitch, color changes

-Project ideas (depending on child's skill level): worry worms, frisbee, scarf, headband, simple beanie, mug rug, bookmark. Advanced level: amigurumi (stuffed toys).

Class Policies:

Student Responsibility: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before class for a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days prior are eligible for a partial refund, and cancellations less than 3 days before class are non-refundable. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at least 5 minutes early so class can begin promptly. Please note, missed classes cannot be made up or credited. If you are taking a multi-session course and know you’ll miss a date, kindly let the shop know.
