Sanjani always dreamed of opening a yarn shop that felt different. A welcoming place for every maker, at every level, and filled with vibrant, inspiring energy. Based on her own experiences in yarn shops that didn’t always feel inclusive or approachable, Sanjani envisioned something more welcoming: a joyful space where everyone feels seen, supported, and excited to create
When Knit This Purl That, a beloved local yarn shop that began in Pleasanton and later made its home in Livermore closed after 12 years, Sanjani saw the opportunity to bring her vision to life. She purchased the inventory and reimagined it as Stitch & Revel: a fresh, colorful, and inclusive yarn shop that elevates the yarn store experience beyond yarn alone. By transforming the shop into a hub for fun, fiber-themed experiences and partnering with local businesses, Sanjani creates joyful events that bring the fiber community together. Where creativity, connection, and unforgettable moments are woven into every stitch.
With a gentle nudge (and plenty of cheerleading) from her husband, Sanjani took the leap. Stitch & Revel was born in July 2025 and officially opened its doors in September 2025.
Born in Fiji and raised in the Bay Area since age five, Sanjani brings her island warmth, community spirit, and joyful creativity into everything she does. She is the heart and guiding force behind Stitch & Revel’s cozy, vibrant, and welcoming energy.
Stitch & Revel is truly a family-run dream. You’ll often find Sanjani alongside her husband and twin daughters helping at checkout, greeting customers, and joining in the creative buzz. Her daughters are budding fiber artists themselves: one loves to crochet, while the other has fallen in love with needle felting. And as for Mr. Stitch & Revel? We’re still waiting to see which craft he’ll pick Team Knit or Team Crochet.
