Meet Story & Stitch, a new monthly book club from Stitch & Revel and Word on the Street Books!
Read a wonderful book, stitch a square inspired by its cover, and gather with fellow readers and makers. It’s a colorful way to celebrate your favorite things (books & yarn) while supporting your local yarn shop and book shop.
Knitters, crocheters, yarn lovers, and readers, basically everyone is welcome!

The people behind the pages and palette
Linda, owner of Word on the Street Books, will choose our monthly read and host the book discussion. Sanjani, owner of Stitch & Revel, will curate four yarn colors inspired by each book’s cover.
The Stitch & Revel team will make a knit and a crochet square to inspire you. Vist both shops to see the squares.
Why book squares?
Each square is a colorful keepsake of a book you’ve read. A little chapter in your handmade reading collection!
Our suggested 4 × 4-inch squares keep the monthly project small and the possibilities open. Collect and join them into a scarf, book bag, blanket, or even a sweater. The patterns are simply suggestions: change the stitches, adjust the size, and make each square your own. We can share ideas at each meeting.
We’ll share our squares and creative ideas alongside our book discussions. Don’t knit or crochet? Come for the books, conversation, and company!
