Aug 13: How to read a crochet pattern 6-7:30pm: Knit and crochet patterns are like recipes, they tell you what you need, how much to use, and the steps to follow. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how patterns are organized, understand common abbreviations and symbols, follow stitch counts and repeats, and read basic charts. By the end, patterns will feel less intimidating and much easier to follow.

Aug 27: Swatching & Gauge Essentials 6-8 pm: Gauge is the foundation of successful knitting and crochet projects, especially garments. In this 2-hour hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to make a proper swatch, measure gauge accurately, and adjust your needle or hook size to match a pattern.
We’ll also explore how yarn choice and personal tension affect your results, what to do when your gauge is off, and why these details matter. Beginner-friendly and helpful for all skill levels, this class will give you more confidence, better-fitting projects, and fewer surprises.
Sept 3: Yarn 101: Selection & Substitution 6-7:30pm: Yarn substitution is one of the most valuable skills a knitter or crocheter can learn. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to compare yarn weight, fiber, gauge, yardage, and texture, understand how each affects your finished project, read yarn labels, and avoid common substitution mistakes.
