Summer Knit Top

Cascata Knit Top: 

Ready to knit a beautiful handmade top you’ll actually want to wear? Cascata is a lightweight, seamless tee worked from the top down with a pretty circular yoke, eyelet increases, and a gorgeous lace side panel that grows down the body like a waterfall.

In this class, students will learn how to work a top-down garment, follow shaping instructions, manage yarn-over increases, separate sleeves from the body, and work a decorative lace detail. This is a great next-step garment class for knitters who are ready to build confidence with sweater and tee construction.

Come knit a breezy, wearable top that’s perfect for warmer days, layering, and showing off your handmade style.

Recommended Yarn: Cascade Ultra Pima DK, or try one of our new plant-based yarns coming to the shop June 1: Juniper Moon Zooey or Universal Yarn Bamboo Pop.

Skills required: Adventurous beginner to intermediate knitting.
Students should be comfortable with knitting, purling, working in the round, basic increases, and following a written pattern. Some lace or yarn-over experience is helpful, but not required.

Materials for Class:
All materials needed for class are available for purchase at the shop, including the pattern.

• DK weight yarn, A gauge swatch in the yarn you choose is highly recommended before class to help ensure the best fit and fabric for your finished top.
• US 2.5 / 3 mm circular knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle

• Materials are not included. Come by Stitch & Revel ahead of time, we’ll help you choose yarn colors and tools.
• Enjoy 10% off yarn and tools purchased for this class at Stitch & Revel (need to be registered for class for discount).
• Prep: Please have your yarn wound at least before class day so we can jump right in.
• Class Policies: At Stitch & Revel, our classes are designed to be joyful, creative, and welcoming. We want to make sure every student has the best experience possible. Seats are reserved on a first-come basis once payment is received, and classes require at least 3 students to run. If we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we’ll notify you at least 24 hours in advance and provide a full refund.
• Student Responsibility: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before class for a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days prior are eligible for a partial refund, and cancellations less than 3 days before class are non-refundable. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at least 5 minutes early so class can begin promptly.
• All materials must be ready to go the day of class. Yarn must be purchased and wound no later than the day before class. We are not able to wind yarn right before class begins. Registered students receive a 10% discount on class materials, and we recommend purchasing everything in advance to ensure you’re fully prepared.

Please note, missed classes cannot be made up or credited. If you are taking a multi-session course and know you’ll miss a date, kindly let your instructor know.
