Summer Crochet Top

Ready to crochet your first wearable, or your next favorite summer top? Join us for the California Dream crochet top, a breezy, beautiful garment with a pretty lace pattern, sweet flounce details, and lots of warm-weather charm.

In this class, you’ll learn how to work through a crochet garment pattern, follow lace repeats, shape the front and back, join the body, and create the straps and flounce details. This is a great next-step class for crocheters who are comfortable with the basics and ready to build confidence with garment making.

Recommended Yarn: Cascade Ultra Pima DK, or try one of our new plant-based yarns coming to the shop June 1: Juniper Moon Zooey or Universal Yarn Bamboo Pop.

Cascade Ultra Pima DK is a smooth cotton yarn that gives crisp stitch definition and a polished finish. Zooey is a cotton-linen blend that will create a lighter, breezier top with beautiful drape. Bamboo Pop is a bamboo-cotton blend that creates a soft, smooth fabric with a relaxed feel.

Please check the pattern gauge and make a gauge swatch in the yarn you choose before class. A swatch is highly recommended to help ensure the best fit, fabric, and finished size for your crochet top.

Skill Level: Adventurous beginner to intermediate crochet.

Students should know crochet basics, including how to make a starting chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch. Students should also have completed at least one crochet project before taking this class.

All materials needed for class are available for purchase at the shop, including the pattern.

• DK Cotton Yarn: Ultra Pima DK, Juniper Moon - Zooey, or Bamboo Pop
• Hook: US Size G/6 (4.0mm)

• Materials are not included. Come by Stitch & Revel ahead of time, we’ll help you choose yarn colors and tools.
• Enjoy 10% off yarn and tools purchased for this class at Stitch & Revel (need to be registered for class for discount).
• Prep: Please have your yarn wound at least before class day so we can jump right in.
• Class Policies: At Stitch & Revel, our classes are designed to be joyful, creative, and welcoming. We want to make sure every student has the best experience possible. Seats are reserved on a first-come basis once payment is received, and classes require at least 3 students to run. If we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we’ll notify you at least 24 hours in advance and provide a full refund.
• Student Responsibility: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before class for a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days prior are eligible for a partial refund, and cancellations less than 3 days before class are non-refundable. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at least 5 minutes early so class can begin promptly.
• All materials must be ready to go the day of class. Yarn must be purchased and wound no later than the day before class. We are not able to wind yarn right before class begins. Registered students receive a 10% discount on class materials, and we recommend purchasing everything in advance to ensure you’re fully prepared.

Please note, missed classes cannot be made up or credited. If you are taking a multi-session course and know you’ll miss a date, kindly let your instructor know.
