Classes & Skills Learned

- Intro to Crochet – 2-Part Series (4 Hours Total)

Skills Learned:

  • Understanding yarn weights and hook sizes
  • How to hold yarn and crochet hook comfortably
  • Creating a foundation chain
  • Single crochet and half double crochet stitches
  • Turning work and maintaining even tension
  • Reading and following a beginner crochet pattern
  • Identifying common mistakes and how to fix them
  • Building confidence to crochet independently

Materials Included:

  • Beginner-friendly yarn
  • Crochet hook
  • Practice materials used during class

All students leave this portion with the foundational skills needed to move on to simple projects.

- Beginner Crochet Hat Workshop (2 Hours)

Hat or other project of choice for charity donation

Skills Learned:

  • Applying foundational stitches to a real project
  • Understanding project sizing and fit
  • Working in the round using double crochet stitch
  • Finishing techniques for a polished look
  • Completing a wearable crochet item
  • Optional: using two yarn colors for hat

Yarn Options for Hat Class:

  • Students may bring their own yarn, as long as it is the correct yarn weight (guidance provided in advance), or
  • Purchase yarn from Stitch & Revel with a special class discount of 10% off

This flexibility allows families to use yarn they already have or enjoy choosing something new for the project.

- Bonus Guided “Study Hall” Session (1.5 Hours)

Purpose:

  • Extra supported time for students who need additional practice
  • Reinforcement of stitches and techniques
  • Personalized help to ensure everyone feels successful
  • This session is included as part of the package to support confidence and skill retention.
