Why In-Person Matters

A sweater has to fit, drape and feel right on you.

Because this workshop is fully in person, your instructor can see your actual knitting, check your gauge and progress, help with fit and sizing, catch mistakes early, and guide you through each step as your sweater takes shape.

No previous sweater-making or colorwork experience is required.

Before You Register

You should already know how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, work basic increases/decreases and follow basic knitting instructions.

This is not a Learn to Knit class (see our monthly Learn to Knit Class).

Materials Needed

Recommended Yarn

Malabrigo Caprino - 3 colors of DK-weight yarn in the yardage needed for your size.

Knitting Needles

• US 6 / 4 mm circular needles
• US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needles
• DPNs or a longer circular for Magic Loop, if needed

Needle size may need to be adjusted to achieve gauge.

Yarn, needles and class supplies are available at Stitch & Revel, and registered students receive 10% off class materials. Need help choosing your colors or supplies? We’ll help you get everything you need for your sweater.

Also bring a tapestry needle, scissors, scrap yarn/stitch holder and optional row counter.

Class Policies:At Stitch & Revel, our classes are designed to be joyful, creative, and welcoming and we want to make sure every student has the best experience possible. Seats are reserved on a first-come basis once payment is received, and classes require at least 3 students to run. If we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we’ll notify you at least 24 hours in advance and provide a full refund.

Student Responsibility: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before class for a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days prior are eligible for a partial refund, and cancellations less than 3 days before class are non-refundable. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at least 5 minutes early so class can begin promptly.

Materials: All materials must be ready to go the day of class. Yarn must be purchased and wound no later than the day before class—we are not able to wind yarn right before class begins. Registered students receive a 10% discount on class materials, and we recommend purchasing everything in advance to ensure you’re fully prepared.

Please note, missed classes cannot be made up or credited. If you are taking a multi-session course and know you’ll miss a date, kindly let your instructor know.
