Gauge is the foundation of successful knitting and crochet projects, especially garments. In this 2-hour hands-on workshop, knitters and crocheters will learn how to swatch properly, measure gauge accurately, and confidently adjust needle or hook size to match the gauge required for a pattern.

We’ll cover why gauge matters, how yarn choice and personal tension affect your results, and what to do when your gauge doesn’t match the pattern requirement. This class is beginner-friendly and incredibly helpful for all skill levels.

If you want better-fitting garments, fewer surprises, and more confidence when starting new patterns, this class is for you.

Class Policies:  At Stitch & Revel, our classes are designed to be joyful, creative, and welcoming—and we want to make sure every student has the best experience possible. Seats are reserved on a first-come basis once payment is received, and classes require at least 3 students to run. If we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we’ll notify you at least 24 hours in advance and provide a full refund.

Student Responsibility: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before class for a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days prior are eligible for a partial refund, and cancellations less than 3 days before class are non-refundable. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at least 5 minutes early so class can begin promptly. Please note, missed classes cannot be made up or credited. If you are taking a multi-session course and know you’ll miss a date, kindly let your instructor know.

Purchasing Materials for Class: All materials must be ready to go the day of class. Yarn must be purchased and wound no later than the day before class—we are not able to wind yarn right before class begins. Registered students receive a 10% discount on class materials, and we recommend purchasing everythng in advance to ensure you are fully prepared.
