Embroidery on Knits

Embroidery on Knitted Fabric: Add texture and dimension to your projects with
embroidery on top of your knitting. We will cover duplicate stitch, which covers knitted
stitches to create a faux colorwork effect, as well as some basic embroidery stitches
such as chain stitch, stem stitch, and daisy stitch. One two-hour session.

Materials: Blocked 4-6” swatch in stockinette stitch, small amounts of yarns in a similar
weight as the swatch, darning needle, scissors. 

Guest Instructor Bio: Kira Dulaney has been teaching fiber arts classes and hosting crafty events in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond since 2002. As a teacher, her focus is on providing valuable information in a stress-free environment and supporting students through the learning process. She is also the designer behind Kira K Designs, a line of original knitting and crochet patterns and kits featuring clean lines and intriguing details that are both interesting to make and easy to wear. Kira has taught at Estes Park Wool Market, Interweave Yarn Fest, Lambtown Festival, the Natural Fiber Fair, Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, Stitches events, and TNNA, as well as numerous guilds and yarn shops.

Materials Discount, Materials Prep & Class Policies (Please Read)

• Materials are not included. Come by Stitch & Revel ahead of time, we’ll help you choose yarn colors and tools.
• Enjoy 10% off yarn and tools purchased for this class at Stitch & Revel (need to be registered for class for discount).
• Prep: Please have your yarn wound at least before class day so we can jump right in.
• Class Policies: At Stitch & Revel, our classes are designed to be joyful, creative, and welcoming. We want to make sure every student has the best experience possible. Seats are reserved on a first-come basis once payment is received, and classes require at least 3 students to run. If we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we’ll notify you at least 24 hours in advance and provide a full refund.
• Student Responsibility: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before class for a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days prior are eligible for a partial refund, and cancellations less than 3 days before class are non-refundable. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at least 5 minutes early so class can begin promptly.
• All materials must be ready to go the day of class. Yarn must be purchased and wound no later than the day before class. We are not able to wind yarn right before class begins. Registered students receive a 10% discount on class materials, and we recommend purchasing everything in advance to ensure you’re fully prepared.

Please note, missed classes cannot be made up or credited. If you are taking a multi-session course and know you’ll miss a date, kindly let your instructor know.
