Learn to Knit Socks (Intermediate) Ages 16+
Say hello to your new favorite project, socklets! These ankle-length socks are perfect for cozy days and make great take-alongs for “shoes-off” households. They’re a wonderful way to build your knitting confidence while creating comfy, giftable pairs for yourself or loved ones.
You’ll learn all the key techniques for knitting socks with confidence, worked using two circular needles. Just bring your enthusiasm and get ready for some toe-tapping fun!
Who it’s for (prerequisite)
This class is for knitters who are comfortable with the basics. You should know how to:
Knit (K) and Purl (P) and knit in the round
Come by Stitch & Revel ahead of time and we’ll help you choose everything you need. Enjoy 10% off yarn and tools purchased for this class at Stitch & Revel.
Materials:
-1–2 balls of sock yarn or one of our favorite multi-color or self-striping sock yarns (100 g each)
-Two 16″ circular knitting needles, size 3 (3.25 mm) — or size needed to obtain gauge
-2 stitch markers
-Tapestry needle
Class Policies: At Stitch & Revel, our classes are designed to be joyful, creative, and welcoming—and we want to make sure every student has the best experience possible. Seats are reserved on a first-come basis once payment is received, and classes require at least 3 students to run. If we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we’ll notify you at least 24 hours in advance and provide a full refund.
Student Responsibility: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before class for a full refund. Cancellations made 3–6 days prior are eligible for a partial refund, and cancellations less than 3 days before class are non-refundable. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at least 5 minutes early so class can begin promptly. Please note, missed classes cannot be made up or credited. If you are taking a multi-session course and know you’ll miss a date, kindly let your instructor know.
Purchasing Materials for Class: All materials must be ready to go the day of class. Yarn must be purchased and wound no later than the day before class—we are not able to wind yarn right before class begins. Registered students receive a 10% discount on class materials, and we recommend purchasing everythng in advance to ensure you are fully prepared.
