Turn traditional crochet cables sideways!

Crochet cables are typically worked vertically using post stitches, but in this intermediate-to-advanced class, you’ll learn how to flip them and work striking cables horizontally along your rows, with no post stitches required.

You’ll explore two different horizontal cable techniques that create beautiful texture, visual impact, and added stretch. Use them as an eye-catching border on an afghan, a statement detail on a shawl, or the focal point of your next crochet project.

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Students should be comfortable reading crochet patterns, maintaining stitch counts, and working a variety of crochet stitches.

Materials Needed

• Four balls of yarn
• Crochet hooks appropriate for your selected yarn
• Removable stitch markers

Please arrive with your yarn wound and ready to crochet.

Purchasing Materials for Class: Everything needed for class is available for purchase at the shop.Please come to class with all your materials ready to go. If your yarn needs winding, please purchase it and have it wound no later than the day before class, as we won’t be able to wind yarn right before class begins.

Class Policies:  At Stitch & Revel, our classes are designed to be joyful, creative, and welcoming. We want to make sure every student has the best experience possible. Seats are reserved on a first-come basis once payment is received, and classes require at least 3 students to run. If we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we’ll notify you at least 24 hours in advance and provide a full refund.

Student Responsibility: If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before class for a full refund. Cancellations made 3-6 days prior are eligible for a partial refund, and cancellations less than 3 days before class are non-refundable. It is the student’s responsibility to arrive at least 5 minutes early so class can begin promptly. Please note, missed classes cannot be made up or credited. If you are taking a multi-session course and know you’ll miss a date, kindly let your instructor know.
